Great Sutter Creek Chili Cook-Off & Car Show looking for goody-bag donations

The Great Sutter Creek Chili Cook-Off and Car Show is coming up fast!
Sunday, Oct. 11th
This is a fantastic event for Sutter Creek generating much needed
funds for the Business Association to use towards future advertising -
which in turn, benefits us all!

Last year's event was the best to date and we hope to continue to build on that, making this year even better!
We are currently looking for goody-bag donations to be handed to each car show entry - 100 in all

Keep in mind that these items can help to advertise your business for the day of the event - or for potential future visits to the area

~We would like to have them collected by October 2nd ~
All items can be dropped off at
Refresh Day Spa
at 81B Hanford Street, Sutter Creek
(Next to the Hanford House)
If you have any questions at all, please contact:
Kathy Ghormley
Thank You!

ACWN's "A Night At The Auction" - Sat Oct 3

Hello Members, Former Members and Friends -

I just wanted to let you all know about an event that is coming up to benefit scholarships to girls in Amador County! Amador County Women's Network awarded 7 scholarships totalling $8,000 last June to High School girls who wanted to further their education.  Each year the amount of scholarships awarded has increased.  But we cannot continue to do this without your support for our fundraisers.

Our "Night At The Auction - a Murder Mystery Dinner" event is our biggest fundraiser of the year.
The date of the dinner is Saturday Oct 3.
No Host Bar starts at 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm with dinner starting at 6:30 pm.
Dinner includes Prime Rib and chicken, prepared by Teresa's Restaurant.

The Volcano Theater Players will be joining us to add murder, mayhem and mystery!

But that's just the beginning -

Included at this event:
  • a DESSERTS Auction
  • a LIVE Auction featuring art, collectibles, and private wine tastings
  • a WINE auction - with over 20 wineries in Amador County contributing
  • a Raffle - some really great items

Tickets are on sale now $45.00 per person and you can order online at ACWNONLINE.ORG.
Seats are limited so contact Bernie 296-8895, Leigh 296-5500 or Sue 296-5989 to reserve your tickets now.

All proceeds from this event will fund next year's ACWN Scholarships.  I have attached the flyer for contact information.
So please join us - it's a lot of fun and for a good cause!
I hope to see you there.

Golden Chain Poster Map Reorder

ATTENTION GOLDEN CHAIN MEMBERS, VENDORS & FRIENDS: Our inventory of the large, 25 inch by 38 inch laminated Golden Chain Poster map was exhausted. After seriously questioning the wisdom of replenishing the inventory at my age, I bit the bullet and ordered a new supply in a quantity that allowed me to retain the original pricing structure of $40.00 retail.

Wholesale will be $20.00 per map on orders of 3 maps or greater. For those with a suitable display location a single display copy will be available for $20.00.

All orders, at this time will be greatly appreciated, to offset the capital expenditure required to secure enough maps to enable me to offer this price.
