Uphill Vineyards is a micro producer of fine red wines in the European style - lower in alcohol than most and meant to be enjoyed with food.  Our wines are made using the grapes from our high-elevation, rocky-hillside estate vineyard in Fiddletown.

ACWN Board Nominations underway at next meeting

If you were NOT at the 10/22 Meeting please cast your nomination for our 2015 Board We will Vote in the New Board Based on Accepted Nominated Spots at our November 19th meeting.



2015 ACWN BOARD POSITION NOMINATION FORM
Please Nominate 1-3 People For each Position who you think would bring great assets to the 2015 ACWN Board Please do not Hesitate to Self Nominate 

It is that time of Year for Board Nominations! This will happen at our next meeting at Cooper's Vineyard. Start thinking about members of the club who would be a good fit on the 2015 Board.

Positions are (and do not let the descriptions scare you with an 8-person Board, its a team; and yes, feel free to self-nominate):

President  (Bernie has to retire, her 3 year term is up for this position.)
Presidents position Details:
  • Coordinate and Run Board Meetings
  • Run the Agenda at each monthly meeting
  • Facilitate complaints and create solutions for our members. Regarding Members, Meeting Locations, Food.
  • Make sure duties of the board are being completed: Advertising, Meeting Reminders, Etc
  • Help board members complete tasks if needed.
  • Help facilitate fundraisers and be active in the planning, implementation and getting group participation.

Vice President / Director of Programs
VP & Programs position Details:
  • Coordinate Meeting Location for our Board Meetings
  • Attend our Board Meetings
  • Coordinate Monthly Meeting Locations.  
  • Run the Agenda at the monthly meetings in the absence of our President
  • Coordinate Monthly Speakers, put together yearly calendar of events, speakers and fundraisers with the Board.
  • Help board members complete tasks if needed.
  • Help facilitate fundraisers and be active in the planning, implementation and getting group participation.

Assistant Vice President / Director of Reservations
Co-VP & Reservation position Details
  • Attend our Board Meetings
  • Attend our Monthly Meetings
  • Coordinate Reservation and VIP List of Members for each month's Meeting
  • Coordinate with the Venue for food and RSVP count.
  • Man Check In Table accept money handle raffle ticket sales.
  • Coordinate with Treasurer to hand off monies received at meeting before 1st of month.
  • Report to Newsletter person amount earned for Raffle Sales.
  • Run the Agenda at the monthly meetings in the absence of our President & Co-VP & Programs
  • Help board members complete tasks if needed.
  • Help facilitate fundraisers and be active in the planning, implementation and getting group participation.

Membership (Beth has to retire, her 3 year term is up for this position.)
Membership Position Details:
  • Attend our Board Meetings
  • Attend our Monthly Meetings
  • Keep the Membership List
  • Keep track of the Guests that Come to ACWN and add them to the email list.
  • Keep track and update email lists.
  • Run membership drives.
  • Order Name Tags
  • Help board members complete tasks if needed.
  • Help facilitate fundraisers and be active in the planning, implementation and getting group participation.

Parliamentarian
Parliamentarian & Sunshine Coordinator position Duties:
  • Attend our Board Meetings
  • Attend our Monthly Meetings
  • Coordinate with membership to keep up on Members Birthdays and Members in our group.
  • Listen to members as they share when their Anniversaries and/or special events are and make note.
  • Provide Members with an acknowledgement of Birthday, anniversary and/or Special event via Greeting Card, Flowers, Gift which ever seems appropriate.
  • Coordinate with Treasurer & Board for budget for Sunshine Coordinator
  • As Parliamentarian you are to help the president keep order at the meetings.
  • Also assist with making sure that any past issues with events is brought up and addressed during board meetings.
  • Help board members complete tasks if needed.
  • Help facilitate fundraisers and be active in the planning, implementation and getting group participation.

Public Relations
Public Relations Duties:
  • Attend our Board Meetings
  • Attend our Monthly Meetings
  • Create and Send Out Monthly Meeting Reminders Via Email and Community Briefs In Newspapers.
  • Create and Release Newsletter.
  • Coordinate and Publish ads in newspapers and other media for fundraisers, and special events as needed.
  • Coordinate with Membership on Birthdays.
  • Coordinate with Parliamentarian and Sunshine Director on other Member Happenings.
  • Coordinate with Reservation regarding Raffle Ticket Donations and Sales.
  • Help maintain the Facebook Page
  • Help Maintain the Website
  • Help board members complete tasks if needed.
  • Help facilitate fundraisers and be active in the planning, implementation and getting group participation.

Secretary
Secretary position Duties:
  • Attend our Board Meetings
  • Attend our Monthly Meetings
  • Keep the minutes to the board meetings and send out via email to board when complete.
  • Read previous minutes at each board meeting.
  • Help board members complete tasks if needed.
  • Help facilitate fundraisers and be active in the planning, implementation and getting group participation.

Treasurer
Treasurer position Duties
  • Attend our Board Meetings
  • Attend our Monthly Meetings
  • Coordinate with our VP & Reservations Person for Monies received at meetings
  • Handle balancing and reconciling bank accounts for ACWN
  • Facilitate payment of invoices and scholarships
  • Report at meetings on bank balances
  • Help board determine budgets for events.
  • Facilitate reports on events such as monies in and out.
  • Help board members complete tasks if needed.
  • Help facilitate fundraisers and be active in the planning, implementation and getting group participation.
  • Help maintain Paypal.
