Email, and we'll post them here on for FREE...or feel free to post that testimonial on our Facebook wall at:'s only $5/month or $50/year to advertise on ACN!

Amador Tourism Council Meeting - Thurs Mar 14

Hello, everyone-
I hope this note finds you looking forward to spring here in Amador County.
Amador Council of Tourism is holding its quarterly evening meeting, Thursday, March 14th, 5:30 pm, at Bella Grace Tasting Room, Main Street, Sutter Creek.

My Gold Country partner and friend, Jody Franklin of El Dorado County will be there to discuss her county's activities, the partnership between our two counties and the larger partnership of Gold Country.

I hope you will join us.

Other news:
1. The 5th annual 49er Treasure Trail takes place Friday evening, March 22nd and all day and evening, Saturday, March 23rd. If you wish to host a spot on the trail, call right away. If you plan to put a team on the trail, you can register online at or stop by the office to pick up player participation forms.

Why put a team on the trail? Do you have enough business?
The game represents an affordable, excellent opportunity to market to other businesses in your community, as well as to individuals on the trail, plus you get to do it in a fun way. Wondering how to do that? Phone us. 209-267-9249. We'll fill you in.

2. I have been attending travel shows in LA and Bay Area, as a representative for Gold Country and Amador. Also I attended a forum hosted by California tourism and learned quite a bit about current travel trends and how California is branding itself to the United States and the world. There are some wonderful opportunities for Gold Country, that I look forward to incorporating in ACT's marketing campaigns.

3. Through the partnership with Gold Country, Amador has received some exposure in the California State Visitors Guide. 500,000 copies are distributed annually. I will have copies available at the meeting. Or stop by the office and we will provide a copy. Congratulations to those businesses that received a mention in the article. Look for more in Sunset Magazine's April issue. An article on wildflowers will be in the magazine. Thanks to Larry Angier for providing photos to Sunset. I hope we get to see some of his work in the issue.

If you cannot make the meeting, we are happy to hear from you. I am out of office often, as some of you know. ACT's fabulous volunteers are happy to help with your questions. Or call ahead to make sure we connect.

Thank you for the opportunity to promote Amador. I consider it a privilege.
Thank you for your support,
